RidgeWorth Funds Board
The RidgeWorth Funds Board of Trustees is responsible for supervising and overseeing each of the Funds. The Trustees are experienced executives who were chosen based on their ability to exercise their business judgment in a manner that serves the best interests of the RidgeWorth Funds shareholders. The board meets throughout the year to oversee activities of the RidgeWorth Funds and to govern the Adviser and Subadvisers' adherence to the RidgeWorth Funds investment restrictions and compliance with various policies and procedures.
Sidney E. (Sid) Harris, Ph.D.Chairman
Dr. Sid Harris joined the RidgeWorth Funds' Board of Trustees in November 2004 and has served as Independent Chairman since January 2007. He is also a member of the RidgeWorth Funds' Governance and Nominating Committee and Audit Committee, positions he has held since 2004 and 2006, respectively. Dr. Harris previously served on the Board of Transamerica Investors (1995-2005).
Dr. Harris is currently Professor and Dean Emeritus at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He has been affiliated with the J. Mack Robinson College of Business since 1997, serving as Professor from 1997-2014 and Dean from 1997-2004. Most recently, Dr. Harris was Professor of Computer Information Systems, Management and International Business. Prior to joining Georgia State University, Dr. Harris was Professor (1987-1996) and former Dean (1991-1996) of the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University (currently Peter F. Drucker and Masotoshi Ito Graduate School of Management).
Dr. Harris is a Director of Total System Services, Inc. He also serves on the Board of Directors of KIPP Metro Atlanta and is Chairman of the International University of the Grand-Bassam (IUGB) Foundation.
Tim E. BentsenTrustee
Tim Bentsen has served as Independent Trustee of the RidgeWorth Funds' Board of Trustees since April 2012. He is Chairman of the RidgeWorth Funds Governance and Nominating Committee, a position held since 2015, and also a member of the Audit Committee and designated Audit Committee Financial Expert, positions he has held since 2012.
Mr. Bentsen is currently a lecturer in the Tull School of Accounting within the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, a position he assumed in August 2013. Mr. Bentsen is retired from KPMG LLP, where he served as Audit Partner and Account Executive (1995–2012), a leader in KPMG's Audit Committee Institute (2009–2012), Lead Area Managing Partner (2005–2009), Atlanta Office Managing Partner (2003–2009), Audit Leadership (1998-2009) and held various other leadership positions (1993–2012).
Mr. Bentsen is a Director of Synovus Financial Corp. and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. He also serves on the Boards of the Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Board of Advisors for The Arete Scholars Fund.
Jeffrey M. (Jeff) BiggarTrustee
Jeff Biggar has served as Independent Trustee of the RidgeWorth Funds' Board of Trustees since January 2007. He is a member of the RidgeWorth Funds Audit Committee and Governance and Nominating Committee, positions he has held since 2007 and 2015, respectively.
Mr. Biggar is currently Director of Special Gifts for Hawken School, a position he assumed in May 2013. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Little Mountain Group, LLC (2010–2013), Chief Operating Officer of Cedarbrook Financial Partners LLC (2008–2010), Chief Executive Officer and Senior Managing Director of Sterling (2000–2006) and Executive Vice President, National City Corp., now PNC (1972–2006).
Mr. Biggar serves as Trustee of the Cleveland Botanical Garden.
George C. (Jack) GuynnTrustee
Jack Guynn has served as Independent Trustee of the RidgeWorth Funds' Board of Trustees since January 2008. He is a member of the RidgeWorth Funds' Governance and Nominating Committee, a position he has held since 2008.
Mr. Guynn is retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer (1996–2006), Chief Operating Officer (1984–1996) and held various management responsibilities (1964–1984). He has held many roles throughout his career, including serving on the Federal Reserve's chief monetary policymaking body and Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
Mr. Guynn currently serves as a Director of SUSA Registered Fund, LLC and is on the Board of Directors of Oxford Industries. Additionally, he serves as Trustee of the Tull Foundation, the Georgia Tech Foundation, Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Oglethorpe University.
Connie D. McDanielTrustee
Connie McDaniel has served as Independent Trustee of the RidgeWorth Funds Board of Trustees since May 2005. She is Chairman of the RidgeWorth Funds Audit Committee, designated Audit Committee Financial Expert and a member of the RidgeWorth Funds Governance and Nominating Committee, positions she has held since 2008, 2007 and 2015, respectively.
Ms. McDaniel is retired from The Coca-Cola Company, where she served as Vice President and Chief of Internal Audit, Corporate Audit Department (2009–2013); Vice President, Global Finance Transformation (2007–2009); Vice President and Controller (1999–2007) and held various management positions (1989–1999). Prior to Coca-Cola, she was associated with EY (1980–1989).
Ms. McDaniel is also a Director of Total System Services, Inc. and currently serves as Chair of the Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business Board of Advisors.
Ashi S. ParikhTrustee
Ashi Parikh is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of RidgeWorth Investments, a position that he assumed in July 2010. Ashi is responsible for leading the overall strategic direction and growth of the firm. He also serves as Chief Executive Officer for each of RidgeWorth’s boutiques, and serves as a member of the RidgeWorth Holdings LLC Board of Directors and as an Interested Trustee of the RidgeWorth Funds’ Board of Trustees. Ashi’s previous roles at RidgeWorth include President and Chief Investment Officer, which he held from March 2008 to July 2010, and Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of Equities, which he held from September 2006 to March 2008.
Prior to joining RidgeWorth in 2006, Ashi worked for Eagle Institutional Growth Advisors as the firm’s Chief Investment Officer for Growth Equities. He graduated from The Ohio State University in 1988 with a degree in Economics and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Ashi has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Ashi is a member of the Board of Directors for the Investment Working Group of The Ohio State University Endowments & Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Action Ministries Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on leading people out of poverty by concentrating on hunger relief, housing and education.
